Schoolgirl sisters Isabel, Ashleigh and Matilda Kiernan channelled some of singer Imelda May's rockabilly style at the launch of the 2014 Make-A-Wish Charity Crystal Ball in association with Newbridge Silverware.

"It's a cause very close to our hearts," their mum Colette said.

In 2010, Ashleigh was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. After two years of chemotherapy her Make-A-Wish was granted in 2013 when she travelled to Florida to swim with dolphins.

"It was amazing," Colette said. "We were treated like royalty."

The annual ball takes place on May 17 at the Double Tree Hilton in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, with all proceeds going towards granting wishes to children suffering from life-threatening conditions.

Imelda May will perform a set at the ball and is honoured to be supporting the cause.
