COUNTRY singer LeAnn Rimes received treatment in a Dublin hospital A&E and was forced to cancel her Vicar Street show last night due to a sore throat.
The Grammy-award winning singer told her legion of Irish Twitter followers the pain was so severe that she had no option but to pull out of the gig.
"Never thought I'd see the ER in Dublin. I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes," she tweeted.
The previous night, Rimes posted an image of herself on a night out with employees of Twitter's Dublin office.
In her hotel room last night she tweeted a photo of a whiteboard provided by the hotel to help her communicate.
Aiken Promotions apologised to fans who were given only a few hours' notice of the cancellation.
