'Silver lining' for ill girl (4)
A four-year-old Co Cork girl, Megan Malone, undergoing treatment in the US for a rare brain tumour, has left New York and moved to Boston for the final phase of her treatment.
The Malone family has secured temporary accommodation with an Irish couple in Boston for the stay.
"Every cloud has a silver lining," John said. "A very nice Irish couple, living in Boston, have very kindly invited us to stay with them in their home.
"We have accepted their offer, at least until we find our feet in Boston. We really hate imposing but we are very grateful," he added.
Megan's first appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston will be on Tuesday. The youngster will have to undergo the treatment under anaesthetic five days a week for six weeks.
Almost €200,000 has been raised in Ireland for Megan's trip to the US, while an anonymous benefactor has offered to cover the treatment costs.
