Shop's second win as it sells €4.5m Euro ticket
A LONDIS shop in Ballyfermot in Dublin has sold its second major Euromillions winning lottery ticket in the space of a year.
Both tickets bought in the store owned by Martin Meehan consisted of five numbers and one lucky star -- one number short of the coveted jackpot.
The €4.5m winning ticket from Friday's draw has yet to be claimed. Last year the shop sold a winning ticket worth €390,000.
Mr Meehan told the Irish Independent that although names had been mentioned, he had heard nothing from the lucky person.
"We are absolutely thrilled," he said. "We are a local store that has been going for 40 years and there is a great buzz around the place.''
Six other winning tickets of the same value came from the UK, France, Portugal and Spain.
With the largest ever jackpot reaching its upper limit of €185m tonight, extra money raised from ticket sales will now be allocated among lower level winners.
