A lucky pair managed to escape injury after their car was left overturned at the Red Cow on Monday morning.

This shocking picture of the grey Audi car was posted to social media website Twitter by the Dublin Fire Brigade later that day.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed to Independent.ie there were two occupants in the car at the time of the incident, but neither were reported as injured.

He said: “The car lost control in the conditions there about 6:40 yesterday morning. No one injured or anything like that.

“There were two occupants. They went to hospital as a precaution but there were no injuries there,” he added.

The spokesperson also said there had been a plan by emergency services to remove the car on Monday night due to traffic at the Red Cow up to that stage.

He explained: “It wasn’t causing any disturbance or disruption so they left it until yesterday evening to take it out until things got quieter.”
