Shock at death of reality TV star and model

FRIENDS of model and reality TV star Diarmaid Maher have expressed shock at his sudden death.

The 29-year-old (pictured) who appeared in shows including 'Fade Street', 'Dublin Wives' and 'Celebrity Salon' died in tragic circumstances on Wednesday night.

Mr Maher, pictured, was a well-known male model for the Assets Modelling Agency and a talented GAA player with the Fulham Irish club in London.

News of his sudden death was greeted with shock by his former colleagues.

Last night, Vogue McFadden, who appeared alongside Mr Maher in 'Fade Street', tweeted: "Very sad to hear about @diarmaidmaher my thoughts are with his family x".

TV producer John Norton said he was stunned and rang Mr Maher's mobile out of disbelief.

He lived in London for four years after graduating where he joined Fulham Irish in 2006. His removal is from Kiely funeral home in Dungarvan, Co Waterford, at 7.30pm tomorrow to Ring Church, with Requiem Mass at 11.30am Sunday.
