Shatter: Ming makes it difficult 'not to throw up'

Luke 'Ming' Flanagan

JUSTICE Minister Alan Shatter has said Independent TD Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan hoisting himself on a “moral soap box” makes it “difficult not to throw up”.

Mr Flanagan was questioning Mr Shatter in the Dail on allegations of penalty points being quashed by gardai and also alleged there are cover ups going on in the force.

Mr Shatter said he took it difficult to take Mr Flanagan’s “little diatribe” seriously when the Independent deputy encouraged people to break the law by refusing to pay the property tax, and after he admitted drug taking.

He told Mr Flanagan if he is going to lecture others, he should be aware his “soap box” is sinking in quicksand.
