Severe fog causes airline delays
AIRLINE passengers have been warned of potential delays to flights to London this morning following dense fog at Heathrow.
Aer Lingus was forced to cancel five flights yesterday between Dublin and Cork and Heathrow. Other flights were hit by significant delays.
The airline said it has been advised that the fog could linger and last night cancelled its first flight of the day at 6.50am from Heathrow to Dublin. It hoped to accommodate passengers on the next flight, which will be in a larger aircraft.
"There have been significant delays through the day and we are expecting fog in the morning," said an Aer Lingus spokesman last night.
