Our pictures show Mannix Flynn hanging out of a window at Dublin's City Hall. The images were taken by witnesses who say Mr Flynn's actions are part of his campaign to disband the Artane Band.

Contacted by Independent.ie , Mr Flynn confirmed that he is sitting on the window ledge as part of his demonstration.

He earlier placed a public notice outside City Hall which stated that the band should be disbanded as a "matter of human rights".

The South Inner City councillor is calling for the disbandment of the band because of its historical links to St Joseph's Industrial School and institutional abuse.
