Second arrest in brutal attack on Irishman

A second man has been charged in connection with the brutal assault of an Irish builder living in Sydney, Australia.

Kieran Cahill, (26), from Killarney, Co Kerry, was punched in the face several times, knocked unconscious and had his head stomped on by three men after he allegedly intervened in a dispute outside a Sydney kebab shop on February 25.

Police in Sydney confirmed that they arrested a 22-year-old man.

The suspect, who has not been named, was refused bail and is due to appear at the Central Local Court in Sydney on June 13.
