Search for woman who disappeared into river declared 'false alarm'

Emergency services stopped their search this evening for a 40-year-old woman who had reportedly disappeared into the River Boyne in Drogheda, Co Louth.

Dublin Coast Guard rushed to the scene near Horse Lane after being notified at 6.33pm.

The search was declared a false alarm by emergency services shortly after 9pm.
