HE has yet to get his hands on that elusive All-Ireland medal, but Alan Brogan has secured an even bigger prize.

The Dublin footballer has married his partner Lydia Rock at a ceremony in Co Leitrim, with the couple's son Jamie (22 months) among the celebrants.

Other attendees included Alan's brother Bernard -- the current footballer of the year -- who was best man, and their father, Bernard Snr, himself a former All-Ireland winner.

The couple exchanged vows in St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim, before hosting a lavish reception at Kilronan Castle, just over the border in Co Roscommon.

Among the bridesmaids was Lydia's sister Hayley, a model and hostess at celebrity club Lillie's Bordello.

A Castleknock native, Lydia is one of 13 children, nine of whom are boys. Her older brother, Jim, is a famous boxer and RTE boxing pundit who holds the IBC middleweight and Irish super middleweight titles.

Current Dublin stars including Paul Flynn, Barry Cahill and Paddy Andrews were also on hand.

Dublin made it to the All-Ireland semi-final this season before losing out to eventual champions Cork by a single point at Croke Park.
