A major sea search is under way for a Spanish fisherman who fell overboard from his trawler off the south-west of Ireland.
The alarm was raised shortly after 4am on Tuesday when crew members on board the Spanish-registered Ecco Homo realised he had disappeared.
The Coast Guard said a large search area some 28 nautical miles (52km/32m) off Mizen Head, west Cork, is being searched.
It is believed the man was not wearing a life jacket when he fell from the vessel.
The operation involves Castletownbere and Baltimore RNLI lifeboats, the naval vessels the LE Aisling and the LE Emer, and the Shannon-based Rescue 115 helicopter. Other fishing vessels in the area are also taking part.
