Schools close again

Some schools that had re-opened were forced to close again because of bad weather, particularly in counties Meath, Kildare, Wicklow, Mayo and Donegal. Many of the schools posted details for parents on

Many others remained closed but a significant number managed to re-open.

St Oliver's post primary school in Oldcastle, Co Meath will be closed again today because of the inclement weather. Fahey national school in Co Mayo said it would remain closed until tomorrow at least.
