It might not rival the Tour de France, but participants will be putting a lot of effort into their bid to complete a 100km cycle around the roads of Munster to raise funds for a new facility for cystic fibrosis sufferers at the Limerick Mid-Western regional hospital.
The Three Counties Challenge charity cycle will start and finish at Garryowen rugby club in Limerick on Sunday, September 10, and will take in Nenagh, Portroe, Ballina, Killaloe and back to the city through Clonlara. Our photo by Sean Curtin shows Dominic Hayes, Munster rugby ace Alan Quinlan and Ben Kingston getting ready for the cycle.
