Rob's a romantic, really...
I spotted Rob Kearney coming out of the Shelbourne Hotel at the weekend and I presume that after the matter of a big French match on February 14, he remembered to mark Valentine's with his beautiful girlfriend, Jess Redden.
Interviewing Rob about being the face of the new Guinness by Newbridge Silverware Collection, which launched at the Guinness Storehouse on Tuesday night, I enquired as to how romantic he was. "On a scale of one to zero, I'd be in the middle," he said with a smile.
I suspect that Jess may have bought him choccies because Rob confessed he has a penchant for chocolate.
There was loads of romance at the rather splendid Shelbourne Wedding Forum on Wednesday evening, with over 90 guests attending to see gowns by David Fielden (above) and to meet the London designer, who is recognised as a leading bridal and evening wear designer.
Kate Moss, Julia Roberts and Dame Helen Mirren have been ambassadors of his romantic style, which is available to buy in Ireland at Myrtle Ivory, the gem-of-a-store where Amy Huberman and Aoife Cogan bought their wedding dresses.
David's latest collection was inspired by the revolutionary 1920s Ballet Russes dance company and one of the most popular of his dresses with Irish brides features shimmering satin with blush peach sequins down the front. One bride he dressed wore red.
