Rival managers are frozen out

The return of Gaelic games to the sporting weekend was put on hold at a host of venues across the country yesterday as the freezing conditions played havoc with the schedule. Dublin's O'Byrne Cup showdown with Westmeath in Mullingar was only called off 35 minutes before the start, when the referee had talks with managers Pat Gilroy and Pat Flanagan, pictured above inspecting the pitch.
