Revenue officers seize 190 litres of alcohol and 2,400 ‘Marlboro’ cigarettes at Dublin Port

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized a total of 190 litres of alcohol and 2,400 ‘Marlboro’ cigarettes at Dublin Port this morning.

The seizure had a combined retail value of €2,800 and represented a potential loss to the Exchequer of almost €1,900, a spokesperson for Revenue said.

The items were discovered when officers stopped and searched a Polish registered truck, that disembarked a ferry from Holyhead. The truck was being driven by a Polish national, the spokesperson said.
