A BROTHER-in-law of Martin McGuinness has denied managing a meeting in support of a dissident republican organisation.
Fifty-year-old Marvin Canning (pictured) from Galliagh Park in Derry, appeared at Belfast Crown Court where he pleaded not guilty to assisting in arranging or managing a meeting which he knew was to support a proscribed organisation, namely the Irish Republican Army, on April 25, 2011.
Fellow Derry resident Frank Quigley (30), from Elmwood Road, denied the same charge, while the arraignment of a third man, Patrick McDaid (42) from Beechwood Avenue, in Derry, was adjourned.
Mr Quigley and Mr Canning were released on continuing bail and Judge David McFarland said he would review the case in late February.
