It’s understood that a Luas tram struck a car shortly before midday at the junction of Queen Street and Benburb Street.

The Luas was travelling from the Museum station into the city centre when the crash occurred.

Four fire units responded to the incident, as did a Garda patrol car, but it is believed that no one was injured in the crash.

A Luas spokesperson said they were investigating the incident and apologised for any delays it had caused.

The line has since reopened.
