Ray leads heroic bid to break record
RADIO presenter Ray D'Arcy yesterday told of his disappointment at the lack of humanity he experienced in an A&E unit with his young daughter last weekend.
Speaking at the launch of a charity fun run in Dublin, the TodayFM host expanded on criticisms he made on air on Monday. "This is something going on in people's lives every day, and I'm in a position to make a real comment about it," he said.
Distressed patients can wait over 13 hours he added. "The system is flawed and can be improved, and those responsible should be blamed," he said.
D'Arcy will be taking part in the 'Super Hero Fun Run' for Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin, in Phoenix Park, Dublin, on May 8, hoping to break the record for the most people dressed as superheroes in one place.
