BANKRUPT businessman Sean Quinn will be questioned in court next month as part of a bid by Anglo to jail him for contempt of court writes Dearbhail McDonald
Mr Quinn, his son Sean Quinn Jnr and nephew Peter Quinn all face the prospect of prison after Anglo brought a contempt motion last week. Anglo is battling to secure control of the Quinns' €500m international property portfolio.
It claims the trio broke court orders, issued last July, preventing members of the Quinn family from dissipating foreign property assets. The contempt motion comes ahead of alleged conspiracy proceedings against members of the Quinn family in the Irish courts. Proceedings have been fixed for the High Court on March 21. Yesterday the court heard there was a major dispute between both sides about the alleged asset stripping that had occurred of several key properties in the Quinns' group.
