A LAW firm has secured court permission to cease representing jailed and bankrupt businessman Sean Quinn Snr.
The case is over efforts to prevent the stripping of up to €430m in assets from the Quinn family's International Property Group (IPG).
In the Commercial Court, Mr Justice Peter Kelly was given a letter written by Mr Quinn from Mountjoy Prison.
In it, he confirmed he was consenting to Kevin R Winters & Company Solicitors, Queen Street, Belfast, being permitted to cease representing him with immediate effect.
He thanked the law firm and his counsel, Eugene Grant QC, Maddie Grant BL and Karen Nolan BL for their "excellent professional service" to date.
