Queen to honour 71 from the North

SEVENTY-ONE people in the North have been recognised in Queen Elizabeth's New Year's Honours list.
Seven serving and former police officers are to be awarded honours and the head of legal services for the Northern Ireland Executive, Oswyn Paulin, is to be made a companion of the Order of the Bath.
Mr Justice Thomas Burgess and Professor Eileen Evason, who work to help the disadvantaged with benefit issues, are to be awarded CBEs. The oldest recipient is 90-year-old Georgina Dickson, who will receive her OBE for services to the community.
