Purrrr-fect kittens! DSCPA appeal for carrier donations for adorable cats
The DSPCA have made a special appeal for people to donate their old pet carriers and crates to provide transport for cats and kittens to their new foster homes.
The organisation currently has over 145 fluffy felines in foster care and have run out of carriers.
The DSPCA told independent.ie that July and August is their busiest time of year as they have had a huge influx of furry friends.
They have also appealed for foster homes for mother-cats and their litter of kittens.
"Its easy to home cats and to home cute kittens but its more difficult to find people to take a mother cat who is nursing kittens," a spokeswoman told Independent.ie.
They are so easy to care for as they look after themselves.
It's a really lovely thing to do."
You can see some of the adorable, playful kitties on the video above.
(Warning : You may find yourself unable to resist adopting one once you have viewed it!)
Anyone interested in fostering should contact the DSPCA or look at the relevant section on their website www.dspca.ie
If you have a pet carrier or crate that you wish to donate please bring it to DSPCA, Mount Venus, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
They are open 7 days a week from 11.00am - 4.30pm.
