NEW parents Amy Huberman and Brian O'Driscoll have returned home with baby Sadie for the first time.
'Threesome' star Huberman and the couple's newborn daughter were discharged from the National Maternity Hospital on Dublin's Holles Street last night at 7.30 and left under tight security.
The 33-year-old actress spent five days in hospital, after giving birth by emergency Caesarean section last Sunday.
A delighted O'Driscoll arrived at the private wing of the maternity ward at 4.30pm in his new 2013 Lexus.
The former Ireland rugby captain smiled as he walked through the doors of the hospital for the final time this week and took his family home.
Last night he tweeted: "Thanks for all the good wishes about our new arrival & a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Holles Street who took care of us so well."
It took three hours to help pack his wife and little Sadie's things in their suite and he was also seen stocking up on baby products from the hospital's shop before loading up his car with clothing, presents and equipment.
While the hospital's car park is strictly for staff, an exception was made for the pair in order to give them some privacy as they emerged with their bundle of joy.
Security guards closed all gates to the car park before they left the building and cordoned off an area near the nurses' entrance to allow O'Driscoll to drive right up to the doors.
Assuming the role of a protective father, the star centre ensured that Huberman and baby Sadie did not have to walk far in the cold and carried the child out himself.
O'Driscoll and Huberman's mother Sandra were daily visitors, with BOD granted a few days off this week to spend time with Sadie and Amy.
The proud father will get to enjoy this weekend with the new addition, but is due to return to the Ireland camp on Monday ahead of the Six Nations match against Scotland on February 24 at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
