Protesters support jailed spy
A FREE Bradley Manning protest became 'Free Chelsea Manning' after the US soldier revealed he now plans to live as a woman.
Protesters wielded placards which named both Bradley and Chelsea in a demonstration outside the US Embassy in Ballsbridge, Dublin. The soldier (25), sentenced for leaking US documents to WikiLeaks, has said he will now live as Chelsea Manning.
Lorna Bouge (above), from Limerick, carried a placard 'Free Chelsea' as anti-war protesters mounted the demonstration. Manning faces 35-years in a military prison for the biggest breach of classified data in the US history, after he turned over 700,000 files to the website WikiLeaks.
