Property tax concessions to be outlined this afternoon

THE Government will announce concessions to the property tax later today, Taoiseach Enda Kenny has confirmed.

Finance Minister Michael Noonan is to publish another bill dealing with the property tax this afternoon, after the initial legislation passed the Dail before Christmas.

Today's bill will contain ""amendments and concessions that the Minster for Finance recognises", Mr Kenny told the Dail today.

They will mostly be concessions for people in social housing, houses affected by pyrite and for "charitable organisations".

"All of the amendments are concessions," Mr Kenny told Richard Boyd-Barrett of People Before Profit.
