The Reform Alliance & political family ties

The Reform Alliance's conference heard criticism of clientalist politics and political dynasties. Fortunately, nobody had a mirror to put up to the group's politicians.Terence Flanagan: Brother Declan Flanagan is a councillor in Dublin City, holding his former seat.Fidelma Healy-Eames: Her husband Michael Eames ran for Fine Gael in 2009 local elections but failed to win a seat.Billy Timmins: Son of the late former FG TD Godfrey Timmins. Brother Edward Timmins is a councillor in Wicklow, holding his former seat.Denis Naughten: Son of the late former FG TD and senator Liam Naughten – brother John Naughten is a councillor in Roscommon, holding his former seat. The other members of the Reform Alliance are Lucinda Creighton, Paul Bradford and Peter Mathews (left). None are part of political dynasties. Although Ms Creighton and Mr Bradford are married, they entered politics long before they began a relationship.
