Revealed: Fianna Fáil most popular political party in the country

Fianna Fáil is the country’s most popular political party, according to the latest opinion poll.

Micheál Martin’s party is up two points to 28pc and is now four points clear of Taoiseach Enda Kenny’s Fine Gael which remains unchanged at 24pc.

Sinn Fein is up one point to 18pc, while the Labour Party remains unchanged at 6pc.

The Independent Alliance, which is in government with Fine Gael, has dropped a point and is at just 2pc in the Sunday Business Post/Red C poll.

Solidarity-People Before Profit are unchanged at 4pc, the Social Democrats are up on to 4pc, the Green Party is down one to 3pc and Renua is up one to 1pc.

The poll of 1,004 people was taken between Monday April 24 – Friday April 28.
