A Renua candidate's campaign poster has been destroyed by graffiti that includes homophobic slurs and drawings.
Councillor Patrick McKee's image (see attached) was covered with black marker that independent.ie has blurred.
The poster was discovered earlier this evening near Callan, which is located on the Kilkenny-Tipperary border.
Mr McKee sensationally left Fianna Fail for Lucinda Creighton’s new political party at the end of March.
A spokesperson for Renua Ireland said that they are "sure that all parties will condemn this action".
