'Reboot Ireland' meeting caught up in wedding drama
A MISSING mobile phone and a cancelled wedding reception meant a recent meeting of Lucinda Creighton's new political movement 'Reboot Ireland' didn't quite go off without a hitch.
Ms Creighton, Eddie Hobbs and colleagues have been staging gatherings all over the country since announcing their intention to set up a new party earlier this year.
At one such gathering in a north Dublin hotel on Wednesday night, the TD had to compete with a cancelled wedding reception. The wedding in question had taken place earlier in the day in Co Fermanagh involving members of the Travelling community, where tragically one man aged in his 60s lost his life in a shocking gun attack.
The wedding went ahead but the reception, scheduled for the same hotel, was cancelled.
Some family members and close friends turned up at the hotel however as Ms Creighton's meeting was coming to an end.
As the meeting concluded, Ms Creighton discovered her phone, which she had left down on a table, had gone missing. After a search, a member of the wedding party recovered the phone which was subsequently returned to Ms Creighton.
