FINANCE Minister Michael Noonan is to appear in front of the Dail's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to discuss the controversial sale of NAMA's Northern loan book.

PAC members today agreed in private to call in Mr Noonan as concern grows over the circumstances surrounding the sale of Project Eagle.

Independent TD Mick Wallace yesterday used Dail privilege to allege that a NAMA insider in Dublin collaborated with US firm Cerebus prior to its purchase of the loanbook.

NAMA yesterday said Mr Wallace made the allegation without producing a "shred of evidence" to support it.
