Irishman is oldest EU candidate

Q AN Irishman will be the oldest candidate to contest the European elections at the age of 73.
TJ Fay from Virginia is a founding member of 'The Peoples Movement for Change' and is also involved in the 'People's Convention' movement.
He is one of 13 candidates who are running in the Midlands North West constituency, which consists of 15 counties, with four seats available.
Mr Fay, who also contested the 2007 and 2011 General Elections in Cavan and Monaghan, is running as an Independent.
He said that he decided to run to "build up the People's Conventions which are aimed at empowering the people".
