Speaking about her interview with Eric Trump, Niamh Horan defended the Trumps in the face of all their critics.

"Meeting Eric Trump, I thought he was going to be a rich boy, yuppie.  But he was incredibly polite and accommodating.  There wasn’t one question I asked that he didn’t answer.  If you compare them to other kids their age, wealth and fame, such as the Hilton sisters, the Trumps have had a completely different upbringing and you have to hand it to the family for bringing up kids who are so polite and with a great work ethic."

"There’s so many people that you interview who are difficult and it costs nothing to be nice or mannerly. Eric Trump is someone who faces so much criticism and I thought is that the life he has to put up with every day? 99% of people criticise the Trumps and nobody is stopping to ask maybe there is some good there?"

Also on the show, the panel discusses Enda Kenny's history-making as Fine Gael's longest serving Taoiseach, surpassing John A Costello this week.

"Enda was always going to be around" says Philip Ryan.  "Hes not going anywhere and lets make our peace with that.  He’s the dear leader of our country and will be for some time yet.  He is our Kim Il-sung Kenny and maybe one of his children should be appointed to replace him as his successor?"

2,234 days and counting...how the time has flown....
