THE Dail banking inquiry will have the services of a panel of banking experts to help them frame a work plan to meet their completion deadline of November 2015.
Inquiry committee chairman Ciaran Lynch of Labour said the expert panel will include public service officials and others from the private sector who will work without payment.
Yesterday, the seven TDs and four senators on the committee agreed a new interim deadline of September 17 to lodge their plans with the Committee on Procedures and Privilege, which has overall control over the inquiry framework. They also reaffirmed their plan to have public hearings up and running by early next year.
The members also resumed discussions on the timeframe to be covered in the inquiry.
