Enda's Games of Thrones: The next Cabinet Reshuffle

Taoiseach Enda Kenny

Who is in, who will be out?

Rarely has Irish politics seen a bigger reversal of fortunes. Three years ago Fine Gael and Labour gloried in the status of having the largest majority in the history of the State.

Now suddenly next week's reshuffle represents this Coalition's last throw of the dice. When it comes to the Irish political equivalent of Game of Thrones - minus the nudity, thankfully - a Taoiseach who appears to be dangerously oblivious to the real state of his regime is, astonishingly, in a very similar place to Garret FitzGerald in 1986. If Enda bungles this one the Dear Leader's spell in power will be docked by a year. As for Joan, should her choices fail, then the party will really be over for Labour.

So who is safe, or safe but moving, who's going, and who are the dark horses that will surprise us all?
