After a lesson in humility from voters who shot down his plans to scrap the Seanad, Taoiseach Enda Kenny has gone back to the classroom.
Mr Kenny visited two separate schools, as well as a third-level college yesterday. First he opened new extensions to Coola post primary school near Riverstown, and Scoil Ursula primary school in Sligo town.
He also visited the Institute of Technology in Sligo where a €35m capital development project, including an €18m science facility, is nearing completion.
He refused to say whether he had been politically damaged by the referendum result, but had a smile back on his face as he chatted with students.
Mr Kenny, a former teacher, raised a few smiles from pupils at Coola.
