Bad news for Sinn Féin and Labour in new polls

There was bad news for Sinn Féin in two political opinion polls published yesterday.

A Millward Brown poll for the 'Sunday Independent' put the Labour Party on 6pc, down two points. But their government partners, Fine Gael, were up 4pc to 29pc, when compared with a similar poll in April.

Fianna Fáil were on 23pc, up four points but Sinn Féin on 21pc were down three percentage points.

Independents and Others were unchanged on 20pc. This included the Socialist Party on 2pc, Renua Ireland on 1pc, and People Before Profit also on 1pc.

The Red C poll for 'The Sunday Business Post' put Labour on 7pc, down 3 pc, but Fine Gael was unchanged on 28 pc; Sinn Féin down three to 18pc and Fianna Fáil up on 20pc.
