Q GERRY Adams has slammed proposals for an Oireachtas own-brand wine as "completely inappropriate" but made no comment on how he reported his niece's head lice to social services, while failing to reveal the sexual abuse at the hands of her father.
The Sinn Fein president yesterday decided to issue a statement branding plans for an Oireachtas wine "bizarre", and said it showed how some people had their "priorities all wrong".
But he would not comment on allegations about his own family. It is alleged that Mr Adams reported his sister-in-law, Sally Campbell, to social services, accusing her of having a "dirty" house and poor "hygiene". But he didn't reveal the sex abuse perpetrated against his niece, Aine, by his brother, Liam Adams.
