Police hunt Belfast gang after Stephen's day assault on man

POLICE are hunting a gang of five who assaulted a 20-year-old man in north Belfast.

The attack happened some time between 11pm and 11.30pm on December 26, however details were only disclosed today.



A PSNI spokesman said five people, one of whom was reported to have a gun, got out of a Mitsubishi 4x4 before targeting the victim at Silverstream Road.



The man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.



Anyone with information has been asked to contact detectives at Tennent Street.
