Picture imperfect

Fine Gael last night denied it scuppered plans for a photograph to be taken of the four party leaders discussing the four-year super-Budget yesterday.

The Irish Independent understands a photograph of the meeting was planned, but arrangements were cancelled with the finger of blame being pointed at Fine Gael.

The view in political circles was that opposition leaders did not want to be photographed with the coalition leaders discussing the draconian Budget.
