PREMIUM-rate phone companies will be named and shamed if they breach their licence conditions, a government watchdog has warned.
The phone regulator ComReg announced last night they will begin publishing details of problems with premium-rate services (PRS).
PRS are services such as horoscopes and ringtones, which customers access via their phones at higher than normal rates.
They have been plagued by problems and the Irish Independent revealed recently that ComReg investigated 575 complaints about PRS last year.
