A man has died following a road traffic collision on the N11 earlier this evening.

The pedestrian - in his late 30s or early 40s - was fatally injured when he was struck by a car near Bray at about 7.40pm.

The female driver of the car was taken by ambulance to St Vincent’s hospital.

Her condition is not yet known.

The northbound carriageway between junctions 7 and 8 is closed to facilitate Garda forensic collision investigators and diversions are in place.
