IN LIMERICK, Willie Mullins's Paparazzi Kid stole the show yesterday as he fended off the challenges of stable mate Felix Yonger and Balnaslow to claim top prize in the Greenmount Park Novice Chase.

More than 30,000 punters were expected to descend on Limerick for the annual races but with five-to-one shot Paparazzi Kid coming up trumps, few would have outdone the bookies in the feature race on the card. There was more good fortune for Mr Mullins in the O'Kelly Bros Demolition & Environmental Contracts Hurdle where 13-to-8 chance Smashing had a comprehensive victory.

The Limerick Races continue until December 29 and conclude with the annual family day on Sunday. In total, 28 races will be contested, with a prize fund of €375,000 up for grabs.
