One in three Irish consumers say the lack of parking during the festive shopping season is their number one reason for getting angry.

According to a survey by The Loop at Dublin and Cork airports, there are a few gripes that us Irish have at Christmas time.

And over half of Irish consumers hate the lengthy queues at Christmas, and admit long lines turn them into grinches.

And if you think the best etiquette for gift shopping is to ask your loved one what they’d like for Christmas beforehand, you might be interested to hear this: three out of four Irish consumers crave the gift of a surprise at Christmas.

And sorry guys, 91pc of Irish consumers rate females as the best present purchasers.

Meanwhile, as far as far-fetched Christmas wishes go, 91pc of Irish consumers would most like to receive a gift from Irish celebrity Liam Neeson this Christmas.

Four out of five Irish consumers stick to a budget for Christmas present shopping. And over one in three are set to spend in excess of €150 on a partner or loved one this Christmas.
