O'Keeffe to visit US firms

NEW Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keeffe is travelling to the US today for a series of meetings with senior executives in leading companies.

He will be accompanied on the visit to the US mid-west by the IDA Ireland chief executive Barry O'Leary.

Over 520 US companies employ more than 100,000 people in operations in Ireland.

Mr O'Keeffe said he hopes to "lay firm foundations to win new foreign direct investment for Ireland".
