Oh I wish it could be Christmas every day, even in September

IT seemed like Christmas had come early.
Although it was just the first day of September and schools were reopening after the summer holidays, shoppers at Brown Thomas on Dublin's Grafton Street were yesterday greeted by the sight of Christmas trees and flashing festive lights.
Dina Lavery from Dundalk and her two-year-old son James were photographed by James Horan getting into the festive mood at the Brown Thomas Christmas shop.
Staff at the store were this week busily putting the finishing touches to this year's display . . . three months ahead of the Christmas rush.
