IT might be May but it still feels like early March. And it's a case of more of the same on the weather front over the coming days.

Met Eireann expects tomorrow to be cool, dull and overcast, with temperatures rising slightly on Saturday before rain returns in most parts of the country on Sunday.

"Temperatures on Saturday might reach 15 degrees in certain parts of the country, but there won't be much sunshine, really. Sunday will be in the mid-teens, mainly, but there will also be rain in many parts," said a spokesman.

He added that it was difficult to forecast long term with any degree of accuracy but temperatures were expected to stay relatively low and the weather looked set to remain changeable.
