AUSTRALIAN authorities have placed strict vetting conditions on two former directors of an Irish nursing home.
Miriam Holmes and her daughter, Hayley, who ran the Avondale home in Callan, Co Kilkenny, until it was closed down by a court order last summer, have to face a rigorous procedure before taking up employment in Australia in future.
A number of stringent vetting procedures have been placed on the pair by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Victorian Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia before they resume work in the country.
